And you know that 5 things meme? Yeah, I'm still doing it. This time, transtempts gave me five. I've done Smallville already but the other 4 were new. :)
1. Kal Ho Naa Ho
This is seriously one of my favorite movies. It has everything ... romance, comedy, drama and angst ... all that you could want in a film. When I saw it, I immediately noticed Rohit and Aman's chemistry. And I love the character of Aman. I'm not a crier and I never cry in movies but this one had me tearing up too in certain parts.
But it's just wonderfully acted and directed. The songs were fantastic and I've lost count of how many times I've seen it.
I saw it when it came out in theaters. It came out in 2003 so I was a junior in high school. I went with my friends but my parents insisted that my sister come along. I was SO upset. The funny thing was that my sister is 3 years younger than me and my best friend's sister is 2 years younger. But I didn't mind her coming along ... it was just my sister I had a problem with. I remember being really angry and all "she doesn't even LIKE Bollywood". Yes, I was quite the brat. ;D
If anyone wants to get into Bollywood though, this is a great place to start. Shahrukh Khan = &hearts :D
2. fic kinks
I have several things I get really excited about when I come across in a fic. I have a total jealously kink. I like when one half of a ship gets all jealous and possessive. It's not cool in RL but I do squee a little when I find it in a story. Also, I like surprises ... like one half of the couples surprises the other ... whether it's with breakfast or a romantic getaway. I'm a total sap at heart and I love fluffy moments.
I'm with transtempts ... domesticity is a HUGE turn on. Them being able to be casual with one another just fills me with delight.
You know, I've only seen this movie once and I never had any interest to watch it again. The only reason I saw it was because of Shahrukh Khan. I was SO obsessed and wanted to see all his films. But one thing is for certain: this was one Aishwarya Rai's best roles. At least in my opinion. I remember seeing her for the first time in one of her early films, Jeans, in its original Tamil and I liked her there. She was just so natural. But I didn't like her as much later on and in real life, she just bugs me. Sure, she's beautiful but her interviews usually make me roll my eyes. Her laugh is too fake. This movie, she was a lot of fun and playing the sneaky twin brother of SRK was a good role for her. I think SRK and Aishwarya did a good job of playing twins. It seemed right.
What's there to say? These two are my OTP. I don't know what I haven't said on them ... I am trying not to sound too repetitive. I love their chemistry ... cuz Tom and Justin bring it and have been since s6. While I don't like Ollie berating Clark, I do appreciate that someone said that he should use his powers for more, especially since it seemed like he's been drilled to hide. I wish it hadn't started that annoying pattern where everyone did it but oh well.
I like that they fight but at the end of the day, they can count on one another. Like in "Odyssey", where Clark was all "what took you so long?" after Ollie literally bought him. He KNEW that Oliver would come for him ... Clark doesn't have that kind of easy confidence with many people. So it makes Ollie within the trusted few. And the idea that Clark revealed his secret to Oliver, even if it was in Offscreenville makes me a VERY happy girl.
I don't know if it's possible for me to stop loving them ... I've tried to but then I'll watch a scene with them in it and fall in love all over again. :)
If you still want to play and want me to give you five things, you can let me know here too!
