I started buying my books today. This quarter, I'm taking 3 courses, because I don't want to overdo it just yet. They're all upper divs and I want to find out how much work is involved. It'll be a lot I'm sure but I need to know how much time I'm going to have free. Besides, I want time to start getting involved. Since I'm a junior, I'm have two years less to get involved with the campus. So I have to get out on a quick start.
My roommate is rushing and I, after weighing the pros and cons, decided against it. If she really looks like she is enjoying herself, maybe I will try it next quarter or even Spring! But for now, it's a no. Sororities take up a lot of time and I really want to do other stuff. Such as join the Daily Bruin, the school's newspaper.
I've always enjoyed journalism and even was on the paper in high school. The UCs don't have a journalism major or minor, sadly enough. If they did, I was considering double majoring or doing a minor in journalism. I'm a poli sci major, hoping to go to law school but my backup plan is journalism. I love to write (obviously, lol).
Anyway, today, we had a laundry party, where our RA (resident assistants) taught us how to do our laundry and fold clothes and stuff. That was pretty amusing. But it was good information to have. Most of us (me included in that number) haven't done much laundry in our lives so now I'm more confident that I won't shrink my clothes. ;)
Classes start tomorrow! I'm really excited . . . my first class is at 11. No early morning classes for me! :)
Well, I'm done for now. It's Wednesday so we're into the middle of the week. I hope all your weeks are going well but even if they're not, concentrate on the fact there is only a couple more days till the weekend. If anyone wants to share, I'm happy to listen. You all have to read about my rants, I'm more than willing to listen to yours. :D
And remember everyone, Smallville premieres tomorrow! So that is something to look forward to! :) Have a good one!
